The Passionist Associate Program

The Great 18th Century, man of faith, preacher and mystic, St. Paul of the Cross, founded the Congregation of the Passion, a religious community in the Roman Catholic tradition of brothers, priest, nuns and sisters. The Charism and Mission of the Passionists is to keep alive the memory of God's greatest act of love, the Passion of Jesus Christ.

The Passionist rule reads: "…we seek the unity of our lives and our apostolate in the Passion of Jesus. His Passion reveals the power of God which penetrates the world, destroying the power of evil and building up the kingdom of God." (Passionist Constitutions 1,5)

It is out of this tradition that the vision of St. Paul of the Cross has expanded into the Passionist Associate Program. Passionist Associates are people who want to enter into the Charism of the Passionist Community in a deeper way. They do it through prayer, relationships and ministry. They bring their giftedness and experience to the Life, Mission and Ministry of the Passionist Community. Their spirituality develops under the inspiration and guidance of the Charism of Christ's Passion.
