Fr. Paul's New Spirit Run
Dear Friends in the Passion,
As you may know I am a runner and my passion the last seven years has been marathons. I have run the NYC Marathon now four times and this November I will make it five times! Now in the past my marathons have always been in support of my ministry, mostly my ministry at the Passionist Spiritual Center while it was open. With the closing of the Center in January I decided that my running would support other worthy causes.
This year's INC NYC Marathon will support two worthy causes, the Passionist Community in general and Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. It is obvious why I would run ro raise money for the Passionists. I have committed my life to this community. I have been a Passionist for almost 30 years. I have been a priest in the Passionist Community for 25 years. I owe the Passionist a great deal and I want to help us move into the future with our ministry and our community life!
Now running to raise money for Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is equally as personal. I have a very good friend, Roseann, who is living with cancer. She is living with brain, lung, thyroid and bone cancer. I want to honor her life and the lives of the many brave people who are battling cancer. So I am running the NYC Marathon to honor Roseann and to help raise money for cancer research.

My goal is to raise $3,500 for Fred's Team and Slone-Kettering Cancer Center, that means I need 35 people to donate $100 or 70 people to donate $50 or 140 people to donate $25 or 350 to donate $10 or 3,500 to donate $1. Well, you get the picture. All I ask is that you consider helping me by being someone who donates. And thanks in advance for your help!
